Initial Setup: Configuring Audio Settings

Introduction: This setup tutorial goes through the initial setup and configuration of your audio hardware and is displayed apon first boot of the mumble application. We have chosen the default settings and proceeded.

1. Click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

2.  Select your gaming  or preferred headset input and output as indicated and then click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

3.  Set the gitter to 50 ms. We have found that with most Australian internet connections that this setting works well, however if you are an advanced user and know the risks feel free to adjust it as necessary. Once happy with your setting, click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

4.  Set your microphone levels. It is important to speak quietly and adjust the slider until the volume  of you speaking is in the green section and then click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

5.  This step is important because this sets whether you speaking is captured via voice recognition  or a keyboard shortcut. We highly recommend using a keyboard shortcut. To set click inside the box where the arrow is pointing and then depress your desired shortcut, then click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

6.  Leave these settings as defaults and click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

7.  Ignore this step and then click "Next" to commence the audio configuration tutorial

8.  Click "Next" to finish the audio configuration tutorial
